Is “Castle” going to end its run after Season 7, as some rumors have reportedly indicated? The good-news answer is: Probably not.
Fortunately for “Castle” fans, it doesn’t sound like the end is in sight from the current Season 6. The show’s executive producer, Andrew Marlowe, even clarified this recently in an interview published by TVLine. It seems that some people who attended the recent Austin Film Festival believed that Marlowe had declared Season 7 of “Castle” to be its last.
That is not the case, as the producer clarified. “I never declared Season 7 as the final season,” Marlowe explained. “What I said is that there’s an organic ending to the show and the characters will tell me when that is. I listen to the characters, and there’s going to be a point where we’ve had the best storytelling that these characters can give us.”
Marlowe doesn’t think “Castle” is there yet, adding that the story could easily last as long as 10 or 12 seasons, if that’s what the fans and cast want.

One of the most stressful and terrifying moments is when you are watching a series/season finale, and you realize there isn’t enough time left in the episode for it to end the way you want.
@mperegrym: Recovering from an awesome weekend at #NerdHQ
So I been in #NerdHQ material, for couple of days. I just love all realated to it. And I hate that I don’t live closer to San Diego #crying #mad. I’m so jealous to every picture that I seen this days with this crew at #NerdHQ. They had such a blast and that atmosphere something indescribably. Thanks to Zachary Levi & Nathan Fillion now I love this even more, Can’t wait to see what will they prepare for next year.
Interviewer: How do you feel knowing that you’re the inspiration for a character like Kate Beckett? She’s a strong woman, working in a men’s job that has made her way in that world. What was your reaction when Andrew told you about creating a show like Castle?
Terri: Super flattered. I love the way I look through Andrew’s eyes. I am honored that he considers me his muse, AND, he is mine. When I read his pilot for Castle, I was blown away, and the most romantic part is, when the pilot got picked up, he told me he wanted us to make the show together. He says I bring the “sparks.” (x)
Andrew: It’s a tough scene (the interrogation room in 1x01 btwn Kate & Rick), because we’ re trying to establish both characters. We’re also trying to establish an element of antagonism, and sparks here. - Andrew Marlowe 1x01 Castle commentary
Nathan to Joss Whedon ‘Just in my expirence usually, if you have couple of weeks off. You make a movie………..with me’.
He is such a nerd.
